Everything priced for the five of us (the boys count as adults almost everywhere at 13+, but all three still fish free β Oklahoma doesn't require a license until 18).
The three big calls, researched from each outfitter's own pages. Prices move β the phone number is the final word β but this is enough to decide.
There's no brochure β this is a call-and-ride outfit with a one-page website. What you get: 45 guided minutes through the pines on dead-calm trail horses, departures every hour starting at 9. Arrive 30 minutes early; reservations are "highly recommended," and October weekends sell their saddles.
Over half a mile of cable through the Ouachita foothills, with the longest single run at 1,100 feet. Braking is automatic β nobody has to remember to hand-brake at 30 mph β and everyone is weighed (discreetly) at check-in. Expect two moderately steep uphill walks between platforms; that's the price of the views.
Twenty-five years of taking in injured, orphaned and surrendered animals β a camel, kangaroos, deer, goats, bunnies, birds, reptiles. Buy feed at the gate and everything with legs mobs you (politely). This is the one stop where the teenagers stop being too cool.
Details pulled from the outfitters' own sites July 12, 2026. Want another one researched to this depth (pontoon, RZR, escape room)? Drop it on The Board (top of The Plan).
Chips with a β and gold ring are already on the official itinerary (see The Plan). Tap anything else you're lobbying for β picks are shared for the whole family (give another phone a minute to catch up), and when you're serious, make it formal with the π‘ Suggest-a-change button on that day. Green = free. Costs are for the five of us.
Driver rules: Slingshot and RZR need a 25+ driver β one parent takes the boys in the RZR while the other runs the Slingshot, then swap the next day. Guide trips and ziplines should be reserved as soon as we book camp.
October averages a few wet days here. The plan scales with the weather β and remember the campers' secret: a drizzle is the best trout bite of the week.
Every dollar the trip actually costs, logged as we spend it β everyone can add entries, everyone can watch the total chase the estimate. Consider it a field course in vacation economics, boys.
